Trailer: Welcome to Grant Builds With AI

Three weeks ago I started building things with AI, and it's become my new hobby. This podcast is a snapshot of that journey: the projects I'm working on, the tools I'm using, what worked, and what hit a dead end. Coming up: a D&D bot that runs a campaign on Discord, email organization, stock screeners, and more. Follow along.

Welcome! This is episode zero of the new podcast, Grant Builds With AI. I'm Grant. I'm doing this because I wanted to start building things with AI. It started about three weeks ago, and it seems to be my new hobby, and this is the next piece of it.

This podcast is a fun thing for me to do. I'd like to do it with some level of frequency, and it's going to provide a snapshot of my journey in terms of building things: what projects I'm working on, how I'm doing it, how it's going, what I've completed, what ran into a dead end, the tools I'm using, and if I'm having fun or not. That's it.

I'd like to shout out to Rick Rubin, who kind of inspired me to do this, to put something out into the universe. I do not consider myself a creative person, but why not? I'm gonna put some things out. Shout out to Matt and Todd, my friends who I did a podcast with several years ago. Just watching how hard Matt worked, I never thought I could do this, but something kind of changed recently in the AI space, and [I thought I'd] just go for it.

So, what's coming up? Hopefully some more episodes, maybe 10 to 15 minutes, talking about what I'm doing. I've already built some projects. I built a D&D bot. It's running a campaign on Discord. I've done the email organization, started some stock screeners, and I opened up an agentic Robinhood account. I've found it super interesting, and hopefully someone else will too. Or not. We're just putting this out to the universe.

Anyway, that's it. That's the introduction. Like and subscribe, people. Talk to you later, bye!
